He started out in New York City creating the most surreal windows displays at Henry Bendel,.then discovered by Jean Louis David he moved to Paris where he honed his craftsmanship. Now Recine is back in NYC after 4 years of working in Paris with all the best photographers,artists and magazines.All his best editorial works , sculptures and collages are all gathered in this beautiful book curated by Fabien Baron. “I always wanted to be a sculptor,for me working with fabric or marble is exactly the same thing” This quote explain really well the work of one of the last true genius of Couture : Mme Gres. The  BOURDELLE Museum in Paris is dedicating her  a show (until the end of July) with more than 80 pieces some from the Galliera Museum some from private Collectors. A well deserved tribute to this  underrated artist and her signature styles,drapery and bias cut mostly in unpatterned monochrome colored jersey .So many contemporary designers such as Alaia, Rei Kawakubo ,Sophia Kokosalaki, Haider Hackermann have been inspired by her neoclassical style. We just discovered on Italian Elle, gorgeous pictures of another enigmatic character,the actress Tilda Swinton in a pictorial hommage dedicated to the genious of Mme Gres.

Gladiator in brushed copper (2) and grey (1), black Tulle wedge (2) , and the “bag” wedge in black and tan (2)… Sizes lean more on the larger size as I believe they were made gladiator model feet.. They will be on the floor on Saturday for our Imelda inspired cocktail soiree’.  A email will come with the details! Enjoy! These would be amazing for spring/summer…

Going to Milano for Fashion Week? Well,..then take a break from the shows,to go check out the new Exhibition of Sandy Kim and Anthony Maule at CAMERA 16 www.camera16.it. Curated by our friend Carlo Madesani and our sister/muse Sabrina Querci,the newly opened Gallery will showcase the work of these two new talended  photograpers/artists. Sandy Kim,has been named as “one of the best artists from the young American crop of talents”  by Ryan McGinley. Some of her candid/hardcore images depict her and her boyfriend or some of her band teammates,all shot in natural light using only “old school” films stocks. Some of her stuff remind us of the early work of master naturalistic Larry Clark,and his take on youth,sex,and loneliness. On the other side Anthony Maule,one of the most sought after fashion photographer takes some of his supersleek photos or some high fashion ad campaign and purposely tweaks and destroys them,leaving the viewer puzzled.A show worth seeing!!!

Our poliedric friend Nigel,superfamous architect,designer artist and…teacher is coming to New York City to show his lates creations the “BAROCCABILLY COLLECTION” 10 limited edition furnitures produced by Poltronova.Straight from the Venice Biennale of Architecture to Cristina Grajales gallery from February 8 until April 11.We at “Change of Season” are dying to own one of those beautiful sofas,..well maybe a chair,..we don’t have enough room!!

What an odd combination,..the English Designer and  the city of Florence,..but   it ended up being the right choice  during the last Edition of Pitti Uomo.Gareth Pugh was the guest of honor of the famous  Men’s Trade Show,.and instead of doing the usual “fashion show” he  opted to show a  artsy video of his creation worn by super edgy model Natasa Vojnovic shot by Ruth Hobgen . A big party followed with all the Pugh posse in tow. Our friend and editor at large Laura Tortoli,.was lucky enough not only to attend the screening but also she took great pics of the event.Soooooo… Gareth Pugh fans be ready,.because Change of Season is receiving shortly a big shipment of his most iconic pieces . Stay tuned it will be a Goth/Fashion Feast!!!!
