THE WORLD OF THOM DOLAN .Lots of cinematic references comes to mind when you take a look at the work of Thomasine Dolan,the designer behind the Thom Dolan Label. A native from Maryland,Thomasine has been working for Bill Blass,Armani,Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren,before deciding in 2008 that it was the right time to start her own label. The mix of High and Lows,and the use of precious fabrics,the mash up of Vintage style and the movie references like “The Sound of Music”,”Peyton Place” or the most recent “Secretary”sums up her eclectic but feminine style. CHANGE OF SEASON is very proud to carry   a selection of THOM DOLAN  pieces to support new American Designers,after Tim Hamilton success.

We (CHANGE OF SEASON) usually like stores and fashion website that are not so mainstream,….well our friend friend from Florence Antonella Mugnai has recently launched a a very unusual and super interesting site.  http://www.antosconceptstore.com/      Her brand new site has 3  different themes: “Vintage objects and selected clothes”, “New Designers”,and” New Artists”. But the common thread is Antonella’s own taste,she carefully pick new Fashion Designers to promote,she choose every vintage piece she shows on the site,and as an  Artist herself she has forged great relationship with upcoming Italian artists,and she is showcasing some of their sculptures.paintings,portraits. We just saw a gorgeous YSL Vintage gown,some decorative wall plates,and spooky adorable mini dolls by our friend and Artist Alessandro Gaggio. Now,..make yourself comfortable and start a curious experimental journey.

Dear “Change of Season” followers,..Milano Men’s Shows are in full swing,..we have been lucky enough to attend some and we have already picked our favorites. One thing for sure is that next Winter we need to go back to our closets and bring back all the BLACK clothes we have owned in the past! Some may have been donated to the the Salvation Army,..but still worth to take a look and maybe buy new fitted pants,turtlenecks,leather coats and jackets for a Total Black Look. On the other hand if you are not a fan of that sharp, Blade Runner look (seen at Jil Sander),you can always have fun in dressing up like a turn of the century Banker or a sophisticated Dandy that lounges at home in his decadent but fitted  robe (see Prada),…more to come from mIlano,and mostly Paris….

The first for me to highlight is fellow Mid-westerner Tim Hamilton.. I’d heard his name from various people here and there. curious? Yes I was. Bathing in my own ignorance, I assumed his work was more mid-range like say, Alexander Wang or something like that. But I was surprised to learn some facts from his team.. Not only on sight are the clothes beautiful and “crisp”, one can tell the construction is impeccable. Then I learn that they are produced in Japan with Japanese fabrics!. I love this sort of trivia for some reason.. AND Junya’s factory to be exact.. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.. Enter Aretha.. So here we go! Yes, we would like to welcome Mr. Hamilton’s pieces to our humble little boutique! We’re proud to have them in-store! and they’re gorgeous.. So come check them out and the prices are pretty astounding i must say. I’m gonna go try everything on!  The second will be announced shortly..

Here are a couple shots of her, one in a Dries Van Noten embroidered dress at Change of Season, and a shot of her in an intimate ‘semi-acoustic” performance at The Standard for a Interview Magazine party.. How lucky are we!! Pretty damn lucky.
