and just off of the gambling cruise!. Mama Chu, a proud inhabitant of Lincoln Nebraska came to visit her daughter Rachael, Parsons Student and up-and-coming designer! She explained the ways she could turn 20 cent slots into $100!  Rachael & Morgane, regular COS patrons also brought in a friend whose name escapes me- and he was VERY excited about the new small addition of menswear! So excited he couldn’t pick, and decided to wait on the Westwood shipment that will be arriving shortly. Understandably! I might hold out for “MAN” myself.  LOVE THEM! They brighten up my day instantly when they arrive.

We had our first bridal client, video producer (WWD) & photographer Angela Hodgkinson. I found this dress and said to myself that some modern soon-to-be bride really needed to buy this Dries Van Noten silk bias-cut dress.. My prayers were answered!  Coming this summer to NY City Hall! Plans are to accent this dress with Angela’s grandmothers antique brooch. Now I wanna see shoes and some sort of hair ornament.. and her mother’s approval. Actual wedding photos to come this summer..

I was combing the pages of RACKED.COM, our favorite blog and source of entertainment-GO IZZY- and ran across this picture of SS10 Fashion Week & Man-Muse Patrick McDonald in the John Galliano fedora we gave him! YEAH PATRICK! AMAZING AS USUAL..

Keli’s been in a bunch of times and we always chat it up. She never lacks enthusiasm for clothes! Finally I asked what she did for a living- her stating that she always needed clothes for functions. She is a writer for the Huffington Post, and does a lot of guest spots on news programs.. I of course went to Youtube, and THERE SHE IS! All over the place. Well, I have her here in LANVIN. I wanna see her at FOX news in this!

Sabrina came in the other day in search for the perfect present for her sister’s birthday… HAPPY 16TH  BIRTHDAY Sabrina’s sister! Sorry I don’t know your name! A few days later, Sabrina brought in a couple friends/soul sisters, Ally & Elizabeth Hilfiger.. and my god, I really had a good time. These ladies know how to spend a sunday, eating chocolate and browsing the shops here on beautiful 9th Street in the East Village. Ally, who is launching her OWN line in Fall 2010 scored a BEAUTIFUL Caterina Gatta jumpsuit with Fabric from Leonard, the “French Pucci”..  Elizabeth’s 16 year old taste- is far advanced, as she picked pieces from Westwood, Rick Owens, and the new NOOKA fragrance that is getting all that BUZZ! Here are a few shots of them having fun.

Sweet supermodel Elsa Hosk came in today.. The super model detector went off as she entered Change of Season. She purchased this Beautiful Carolina Damas hand-beaded hairband. Uber model Magdalene would also confirm the Damas spell.. She too bought a beautiful hair comb when we first opened, but I was too shy to ask for a pic.. She’d just gotten back from Paris, and from walking in those crazy-ass McQueen shoes.

Yipppeeee! Morgan came back again and brought fellow Parsons classmates. We love to meet budding designers! Morgan nabbed, and is wearing an Alessandro Gaggio one-of-a-kind metal cuff and what I call the “SUPER HERO CARDIGAN” by SOFTCORE..

And this time, for Rome designer Caterina Gatta. In attempt to revive couture in Rome, Caterina as you may have read earlier, takes vintage fabrics from design houses such as Givenchy & Gianni Versace, and creates modern dresses with a vintage twist. Friday night was her NYC debut, and we were thrilled to host her and her collection.. Here are some photo moments from the night. Thanks for coming out!

These lovely shop owners/designers popped in twice, one day..And we had such a great time chatting.. She was wearing a original coat from Vivienne’s ‘84 Clint Eastwood Collection that she acquired at Relic in London.. Amazing coat! And filled my ear full of great stories of London in the 80’s.. Looking at her now, I imagined her in the 80’s with that sort of Derek Jarman/JUBILEE look.. Pic included.  She has everything, but LOVED the Maria Zureta necklace with the cluster of silver spoons.. Their store, Fab 208 is on 7th street btw 1st & 2nd, and is supposedly pink with big spots.. You probably won’t be able to miss it.. She takes vintage clothes and re-configures them into new creations.. She also rescues PUGS!
