My apologies for not having posted anything as of late, but we’ve been busy with our big BLOW OUT SALE in preparation for new JULY arrivals, or as i like to say, the new adoptive babies looking for good homes. But, I digress.. Maybe 9 months or so a couple of BEAUTIFULLY dressed people came into the shop..I of course said HOW AMAZING they both looked and we began to chat. Strangely, Davora (the blonde) had attended the same small art school i had, knew some old Minneapolis friends, and also NOW lives in Seattle where i had lived for 4 years, having may of the same friends that i was close to.. The world is so weird and small, but i love that, and Davora and Ro are lovely.. They were in town for another shopping expedition and came by to see hi and check out the goods. Here is Davora in A.F. Vandevorst Pants and a Ann Demeulemeester top. The top she bought, and the pants I “gifted”.. so In August when i HOPEFULLY get back to Seattle, she’s promised a drink at Pony, hosted by our friend Marcus. Looking forward..

A super cute bubbly young woman comes in with some acquaintances of mine.. She wants to take a quick sec to browse the racks before brunch… We put her into a few Rick Owens contraptions, and have a lot of fun trying to figure out this particular romper… Instead, she goes for the silver Balenciaga jacket, lined in electric blue! amazing! I of course had no idea she was “someone” when introduced to her and her husband. But, i did a little google and there you go! Lynn Collins.. I remember her mainly from (as i whisper, it was on Demand) X-MEN, Wolverine! She was Hugh Jackman’s lady! She’s also been in True Blood and a whole list of other things.. Her hubby is also a actor.. Just to jog your memory, here are some pics.. Super nice she was.. i love that. and the one time I don’t snap a photo!

Ok, really Marco and I are not the “star fucker” types.. But NY is fascinating for the people you see wandering about. Yesterday we had breakfast next to Coco Rocha. BEAUTY! So we’re curious just like everybody else, but really when “celebrities” pop in our door I try to be as “normal” as possible. Normal for me is sometimes questionable.. But it’s fun to chit chat with these folks, most very sweet and friendly. Here’s our homage to them for keeping my days always interesting. Agyness, the sweetest.. Model Magdalena, had just gotten back from the McQueen show with those infamous SHOES! Carolyn Murphy with daughter in toe. We looked at pics of her in our PRADA book.. Anne Heche, with her newborn in a stroller.. Elijah Wood, came in I think on one of my first days open.. very nice, and NOT SHORT! That’s what everyone asks.. He won’t be recruited into the NBA any time soon, but still… Florence Welch… nothing else needs to be said except for “TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE!” The first time she offered to do a in-store set.. Probably should’ve worked on that a bit more. And then Joan.. so cute and funny. I had a lot of fun dressing her up. xxoo

That’s what Gareth Pugh and this dress in jersey and leather do to the floors here in the shop. My carpet is wearing out from people running to the dressing room to try this dress on.. And AGAIN, it’s STILL amazing.. I love everything here, but THIS is just ONE OF THOSE PIECES. If it stayed here with me for a lifetime, I wouldn’t have a issue. Here’s is Parson’s student and soon-to-be-designer Tiffany Tsai knocking it out of the ball park. Wow is all i have to say.. In case you’re wondering, it’s marked at $595.00.. a complete steal!

The first time I received the first shipment of Owens boots, men flocked in trying to squeeze their feet into a size 40.. and to no avail.. So, in my diligence i tracked down a few more pairs and SURPRISE, one pair of 41′s.. And Tre, who is the sweetest – got them first! We had a dog rodeo in the shop today, which i LOVE.. 3 little dogs yelping and playing, eating treats, as we played dress -up.. Here he is with his new wedges!

NY MAGAZINE! We’re are a part of the “Best of 2010′ edition

Five or so months into the business of selling garments, I never personally thought we’d be on the “Best of 2010″ list on NY Magazine this early in.. Kind of like our version of the Oscars I guess. It’s as close as I’ll ever get and I think I deserve something new and red carpet to wear to celebrate. But needless to say we’re excited. We’ve had great press from great magazines and blogs such as Racked.com, Style.com, The Thread, Guerilla Shopper, and others and for that we are great appreciative, as we also are to everyone who comes in to either buy something special, chit chat, bring me coffee, whatever.. It’s all great. Thanks from me and Marco.
